SELECTION QUESTIONS

Choose the right equipment for your application.

How do I select an ultrasonic plastic welding machine?

Start with the polymer, joint drawing, part dimensions and required output. Compare servo, pneumatic, rotary or handheld formats against positioning and handling needs. Confirm tooling and process settings using representative parts.

What information is needed for a servo ultrasonic welder quote?

For the DX6, describe the joint, material and production target, then specify the required pressure, speed and amplitude control. Include available space, electrical supply and automation interfaces so the proposed configuration can be checked.

When should I consider a handheld ultrasonic welder?

Compare the listed 20 kHz and 35 kHz handheld models when tool access and operator handling are central to your task. Provide the plastic material, contact geometry and expected cycle volume. Confirm the horn and process on sample parts before selecting a model.

What should I check for ultrasonic degating of molded plastic parts?

Send a drawing showing the molded parts, runner layout, gate locations and material. The degating equipment must be assessed against the part support and separation requirements; it is a separate selection task from joining two plastic parts.
